PLUS TWO GEOGRAPHY : PREFACE We are pleased to present before the students and teachers the Revised Edition of Geography II (Fundamentals of Human Geography and India - People and Economy) which has been primarily designed as a Reference Book based on the new NCERT Syllabus and Text Book. It has been written bearing in mind the specific needs of the students of Class XII of Higher Secondary, State Open School, VHSE, and CBSE (Optional for Humanities). The book presents the entire syllabus in a lucid style. It explains the significance of human geography and throws light on people and economy in the Indian context. The subject matter is complete and up-to-date and strictly in accordance with the revised syllabus of the paper, Geography - II. Apt diagrams, graphs, and pictures help visualization and comprehension of the subject. The theoretical explanation has been simplified with examples from day-to-day life. Sample questions given at the end of each chapter are in accordance with the New Grading Pattern introduced recently.
